LAKE TRONOH

Lake Tronoh is close to the main street of Harrietville, and represents a legacy of the gold dredging days in the North-east.

However, regardless of its origin, this is a very pleasant paddling venue, with easy launching from the picnic area. loading...

Initial access is by taking the Mount Feathertop Road from the Bright side of the Ovens River Bridge (known as School Bridge), and following the signposts to the waterside car parking and picnic area.

There is plenty of shade here, and this is a popular place to spend a few hours. Some people take to the water here for a cooling swim; however this is a venue for experienced swimmers only, and is not suitable for beginners, or small children.

After canoeing on the Lake there is additional entertainment in the form of a walking track which winds around the Lake.
